I have a pending certificate in preK–12 music teaching. I have also taught graduate and undergraduate classes at CUNY colleges since 2015, where I developed my own courses and workshops. I am particularly comfortable teaching about music pre-1750 and post-1910.
As a PhD Candidate, I research the Italian madrigal, as well as several secondary interests. My work is typically interdisciplinary, combining music analysis with poetics, linguistics, and material culture.
I have shifted my focus toward research and education over the past ten years, but I still perform regularly in orchestras, early music ensembles, and jazz groups.
